Sardinia

The expansion of the island in East-west-direction amounts to 145 km, in north - South-direction 270 km and is three times so big with it as the neighbor-island Corsica. The coastline possesses, caused by which many bays, a length of 1850 km. Sardinia is, "Oristano" subdivides into the four provinces "Cagliari" in the south, "Nuoro" in the east, in the South-nature and "Sassari" in the northwest. 1,7 million people live together here.
The interest was in Sardinia low originally to create facilities for the tourism. The gradual development of this sector made the island however known, opened her/it/them for the outside world and strengthened
the consciousness for history, culture, art and handicraft of the country. Landscape

The landscape of the island has to do narrowly with their geological story. The northeastern part consists mainly of crystalline rocks, granites and Dioriten. They were created in the earth-antiquity and form
